GATOR DEFENSE LEADS WEST FORK TO 14–6 VICTORY OVER SPLENDORA

The West Fork Gators JV football team earned a hard-fought 14–6 victory over Splendora on Thursday, October 15, at Splendora High School, turning in an outstanding defensive performance to secure the win. The Gators relied on their defense to make the difference, with two defensive touchdowns helping West Fork come away with an important road victory.

The Gator defense was the story of the night, led by cornerbacks Jamarian Bryant and Raymond Thompson, who each intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown. Their game-changing plays provided a major spark for West Fork and highlighted a stellar effort from the entire defensive unit. Up front, Emmanuel Duran, Mason Quintanilla, and Jayden Cashaw led the charge for the Gator front seven, helping set the tone on defense throughout the contest.

Offensively, the Gators moved the ball effectively at times, with Jaron Brown leading the rushing attack and Alonzo Williams serving as the team's leading receiver. However, four turnovers prevented the Gator offense from finding greater consistency and creating additional scoring opportunities. Despite those challenges, West Fork's defensive effort proved to be the difference in the 14–6 victory.

The Gators will now turn their attention to next week's matchup against Montgomery as they look to build on the win and improve offensively. West Fork will host Montgomery on Thursday, October 22, at 5:00 p.m. at Gator Field. The Gators will look to carry their defensive momentum into the next contest while continuing to work toward a more consistent offensive performance.
