SPLENDORA, TX -
The West Fork JV Gators secured another victory on the road, defeating Splendora 28-6 in their mid-week district matchup. The win keeps the Gators' perfect season rolling, moving them to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in district play.
The West Fork offense put together a dominant passing display. Quarterback Tyler Gilliam was sharp, connecting with Mathew’s for a clutch 75-yard touchdown pass. Gilliam also found his stride with receiver Marchaun Warmley and delivered a long touchdown pass to Micah Matroonejad. Matroonejad also contributed on the ground with a rushing touchdown.
The defense was relentless, holding Splendora to just six points. The pressure was highlighted by Lenton Slay, who forced a fumble with a powerful sack, disrupting the opposing offense and helping secure the victory.
The Gators will look to maintain their perfect record next week when they return home to face Nederland on Wednesday.
