Kingwood, TX -
The West Fork JV Gators' unbeaten streak came to an end Wednesday, as they fell 6-0 in a hard-fought battle against Nederland. While the final score wasn't what the team wanted, the loss highlighted the Gators' defensive strength and resilience.
The defense was outstanding, playing with intensity all game and holding Nederland to a single score. However, despite the defensive effort, the offense couldn't push across a tying touchdown. Noah Henry led the offensive charge, helping to move the ball and create scoring opportunities, but the team ultimately couldn't convert, notably missing a key goal-line opportunity in the first half.
The Gators, now 5-1 overall and 2-1 in district play, are focused on responding quickly. They will look to bounce back next week when they host Port Neches-Groves (PNG) at home.
