West Fork 34, Nederland 25
The West Fork Gators Varsity football team rolled into Nederland last night and left with a hard-fought 34-25 win over the Bulldogs in a statement road victory!
Offensive fireworks lit up the night as QB Kylin Patin turned in a stellar performance, throwing for nearly 300 yards and 3 touchdowns, while also adding a rushing TD to cap off a dominant effort.
Courtney Simmons was electric all night, racking up over 200 all-purpose yards, scoring 2 touchdowns, and making a huge impact on both sides of the ball with a key interception on defense.
Just before halftime, Nukias Adams hauled in a clutch touchdown that shifted momentum squarely in West Fork's favor. In the fourth quarter, with the game on the line, the Gators turned to the ground game — Kaden Simmons and Smith Rollins powered through the Bulldog defense with critical runs to chew clock and seal the win.
On defense, the Gators came up big:
Kaiden Aguero forced a key fumble, recovered by Javen Nededog, and Curtis Sandel was everywhere — leading the team with a jaw-dropping 18 tackles.
Huge win for the Gators as they continue to build momentum heading into the next matchup against PNG!
