KINGWOOD, TX - The West Fork JV Gators bounced back in dominant fashion with a commanding 41-0 shutout victory over Dayton at home on Thursday, improving the team's record to 6-3 on the season.
The offense was unstoppable, fueled by a stellar performance from Micah Matroodnejad, who scored two rushing touchdowns and delivered a short touchdown pass to Landon Walker. Quarterback Noah Henry also contributed significantly, throwing a long touchdown pass to Walker, in addition to scoring a rushing touchdown himself. Closing out the scoring was Addis Matthews, who broke free for a long rushing touchdown.
The defense was equally dominant, pitching a perfect shutout. Landon Walker led the secondary with two interceptions, while Kameron Sherer had a huge sequence, recording a sack, a forced fumble, and recovering the fumble. Jackson Nash added another turnover with a fumble recovery. On special teams, kicker Rafael Mondragon successfully converted 5 PATs and delivered multiple touchbacks to pin Dayton deep.
The Gators will look to continue their winning ways next Thursday when they travel to face Lake Creek.
