What a game! The West Fork Gator Green team battled their way to a 25–22 victory over the Lake Creek Lions last night in an absolute classic.
Effort, attitude, and toughness were on full display from start to finish. The Gator defense set the tone, forcing two key turnovers and keeping the team in the fight all night. Standout performances came from Gregory Rogers, Emmanuel Duran, and Elijah Smith, who anchored the defense with relentless energy.
After trailing 6–8 heading into the 4th quarter, the Gators mounted an incredible comeback. Jayden Monge sparked the rally with a touchdown run — one of two he scored on the night. Kayden Ferguson powered the offense with tough, downhill and misdirection running behind a dominant offensive line, while Raymond Thompson added some electrifying outside runs and even snagged an interception to shift momentum.
In the final seconds, after Lake Creek connected on a stunning 50-yard trick-play touchdown with just 19 seconds left, the Gators refused to fold. Kaleb Jenkins took the ensuing kickoff to the house for the game-winning touchdown with six seconds remaining — sealing an unforgettable finish!
The coaches are extremely proud of how you played and finished the season. Go Gators!
