The West Fork Gators Boys Track Team kicked off their season with an impressive showing, earning points from 19 athletes across a variety of events. The Gators came out on top in several key races, securing first place finishes in the 100m dash by Jailen Jones, the 400m dash by Griffin, and the 4x400m relay. Their performance in the 4x100m relay was also historic, as they set a new school record with a time of 42.72 seconds. De'Juan Kizzie had an outstanding meet, tying his personal best in the high jump with a leap of 6 feet 2 inches and finishing 3rd in the 200m dash. Kizzie’s efforts made him the third-highest scoring athlete for the Gators, while other strong finishes included 3rd place results by Kizzie in the 200m dash, Mason Evans-Pickens in the 400m dash, and Levi Jones in the 110m hurdles. The Gators showed incredible depth and talent in their season opener, setting a solid foundation for the season ahead.
