The West Fork Boys Varsity Track team delivered an impressive performance at the Splendora Wildcat Relays, earning a strong third-place team finish in just their second meet of the season. The Gators were powered by three first-place finishes, highlighted by a standout day from De'juan Kizzie, who captured gold in both the high jump and the 100-meter dash. Kizzie’s dominant showing made him the top point scorer for the boys at the meet. Luke Larsen also soared to the top of the podium, clearing a personal-record 12 feet, 6 inches to win the pole vault and add another first-place finish for West Fork.
In addition to the trio of victories, the Gators posted four second-place finishes and recorded several new personal bests across multiple events. The team’s depth and continued improvement were evident as athletes stepped up in key moments, building momentum early in the season. With another strong outing in the books, West Fork now turns its focus to next week’s meet in Conroe, looking to build on its early success and continue raising the bar as the season progresses.
