The West Fork girls powerlifting team is quickly establishing itself as one of the strongest programs in the area after qualifying 23 athletes for the Regional Meet at Alvin HS in Alvin, TX on Saturday, February 28th.
The West Fork girls have shown up in a major way at qualifying meets, where athletes across nearly every weight class secured spots at Regionals.
The Gators are led by experienced competitors who continue to set the standard on and off the platform, including multiple state medalists and school record holders. Their leadership has helped elevate a deep roster that features both proven upperclassmen and rising underclassmen who are already making a significant impact.
West Fork qualified lifters in 10 different weight classes, showcasing the balance and depth of the program. Several athletes entering the postseason are ranked among the top performers in their classes, reinforcing the team’s steady climb in one of the most competitive regions in the state.
With 23 competitors advancing and several positioned to contend for top spots, the Gators now shift their focus to the regional stage with both momentum and confidence with them.
Regionals is just the next step, not the finish line. The Lady Gators will look to send several athletes to the THSWPA State Championships at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, TX.
