The West Fork Gators boys track team turned in an impressive performance at the Huntsville Hornet Relays on Friday, March 27th, highlighted by multiple personal records and school-record-breaking efforts. De’juan Kizzie led the way with a dominant showing in the high jump, clearing 6 feet, 4 inches to take 1st place while tying both his personal best and the school record. In the field events, Gregory Rogers delivered another historic moment for the Gators, launching a personal-best throw of 46 feet, 0.5 inches in the shot put to set a new school record and continue the team’s strong presence in the throwing events.

On the track, the Gators continued to shine with the 4x400 relay team turning in a record-breaking performance of 3:26.22 to secure a 3rd place finish against tough competition. Levi Jones also made his mark in a highly competitive 300-meter hurdles field, earning a 3rd place medal with a strong race that added to the team’s overall success. Across the board, West Fork athletes showcased their depth and determination, with several competitors achieving personal bests on the day.

With momentum building at the right time, the Gators now shift their focus to the District 18-5A meet on April 8th and 9th. After a series of standout performances and continued improvement throughout the season, West Fork has its sights set on making history and capturing the program’s first-ever boys track district title.
