The West Fork Gators JV and 9th Grade boys track teams delivered an outstanding performance at the 18-5A District Track Meet, showcasing the hard work, hustle, and mental toughness they have built throughout the entire season. Week after week, these athletes have pushed through demanding practices and fierce competition, and their dedication paid off in a big way on the district stage. The JV boys rose to the occasion to claim the District Championship, while the 9th grade squad battled hard to earn an impressive second-place finish in their division—solidifying the program’s depth and future strength.
Across both divisions, the Gators racked up an impressive collection of medals, including 8 first-place finishes in the JV High Jump, Pole Vault, Triple Jump, 4x100 relay, 4x200 relay, and 100-meter dash, along with the 9th grade 110-meter hurdles and high jump. In addition, the teams earned 7 second-place and 11 third-place finishes, highlighting their consistency and competitiveness across all events. Leading the charge were standout performers Jayden Whitelow, who brought home 3 gold medals and a silver, Landon Walker with 3 gold medals, and Yared Mufila, who contributed a gold, silver, and bronze. The Gators’ success at district is a testament to their relentless effort and commitment, setting a strong standard as the program continues to build toward the future.
