8/25 VARSITY VOLLEYBALL VS PNG

Varsity volleyball closed out a victory over PNG for our first home game opener of the 2026 season! With the bleachers full and energy high, the Gators took care of business in the first set 25-9! PNG Indians fought back with aggressive offensive plays but the Gators kept the momentum and lead for the win of the next set 25-21. In the third set with the Indians 23 and Gators at 22, a placed kill of Alex Scimio the Gators tied it up. Addi Wilcox behind the service line to seal the win, 25-23!

Rylie Scimio and Khloe Lilly led a strong offense, with 10 kills each, Jiana Naranjo at the net defensively putting up a solid block. Rylie Scimio was an offensive threat behind the service line with 9 aces. Tenly Newsom had an impressive 16 assists and Kailey Pate with 15 assists to run our offense. But it wouldn't have been possible without Addison Wilcox's and Khloe Lilly's 14 digs apiece.

The Gators are heading to Needville this weekend for the third and final tournament!
