GATORS JV FOOTBALL RALLIES LATE TO DEFEAT HUFFMAN 8–7

The West Fork Gators JV football team showed tremendous determination Thursday night, rallying late to earn an exciting 8–7 victory over Huffman. Despite struggling offensively for much of the game, the Gators found a way to make the plays they needed when it mattered most.

Late in the game, quarterback Bryce Nichols connected with Kaleb Jenkins on a screen pass that helped spark the Gators' game-winning drive. Nichols then found Slade Gonzalez on a successful two-point conversion to give West Fork the lead and seal the 8–7 victory.

The Gator defense delivered another outstanding performance and was instrumental in keeping the team in the game. Linebacker Ethan Webb was all over the field, consistently making plays for the defense. Defensive end Mason Quintanilla also made a huge impact, recovering a fumble that helped set up the eventual go-ahead score by the Gator offense.

With the victory, the Gators will look to carry their momentum into their home opener against Clear Lake on Thursday, September 10, at 5:00 p.m. at Gator Field. The Gators will look to continue their strong start to the season in front of the home crowd.
