GATORS BATTLE THROUGH LONG DELAY TO IMPROVE TO 3-0 IN DISTRICT PLAY

The West Fork Gators continued their impressive district run last night, defeating the Northbrook Raiders 16-1 to improve to 3-0 in district play!

The night got off to a frustrating start as a three-hour lightning delay kept both teams waiting to take the court. Once play finally began, the Gators wasted no time getting to work.

West Fork's doubles teams came out ready to compete and established control early. When doubles play was complete, the Gators held a commanding 6-1 lead heading into singles competition.

Sophomores Austin Myers and Aaron Mealey provided one of the highlights of the evening, earning their first varsity doubles victory of the season. Their hard work and determination paid off as they helped the Gators build momentum for the rest of the match.

The Gators carried that momentum into singles play, finishing strong and securing the impressive 16-1 victory.

More than anything, the win showcased the grit, patience, and determination of the Gators. After sitting through a weather delay, West Fork came out focused and ready to compete—and never let the long night affect their performance.

With the victory, the Gators improve to 3-0 in district play and continue to build momentum as they chase their district goals.
