9/23 FRESHMAN GREEN FOOTBALL VS KINGWOOD PARK

The West Fork Gators freshman Green football team continued its impressive start to the 2026 season Wednesday night, traveling to Kingwood Park High School to take on the Panthers and coming away with a strong 46-19 victory.

West Fork's offense set the tone throughout the night, consistently finding ways to put points on the scoreboard and keep pressure on the Kingwood Park defense. The Gators' rushing attack played a major role in the victory, with Kyrique Lawrence and Rashard Witherspoon each finding the end zone twice on touchdown runs.

The strong offensive performance allowed West Fork to build momentum throughout the game, as the Gators continued to capitalize on opportunities and put points on the board against the Panthers.

While the offense provided plenty of highlights, West Fork's defense also delivered when it mattered most. Late in the game, Jacoby Sherman and Kole Ihnen each intercepted a Kingwood Park pass and returned it for a touchdown, giving the Gators two defensive scores and putting an exclamation point on the victory.

The defensive touchdowns highlighted a strong overall effort from West Fork on a night when all three phases of the game contributed to the team's success. The Gators continued to make plays on both sides of the football while maintaining control of the game against the Panthers.

The 46-19 victory gives West Fork a strong 3-0 overall record and a 1-0 record in district play to begin the season and provides the Gators with plenty of momentum heading into their next matchup.

West Fork will return home Thursday, October 1st, for its next game, welcoming the Porter Spartans. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. Lets pack the stands and be loud!
