The West Fork high school Swimming and Diving teams hit the water for their first meet of the year, as they took on some strong competition at the Atascocita Early Bird Invitational. Both the JV and Varsity Gators competed against Kingwood, Atascocita, Summer Creek, Memorial and many more! With over 400 swimmers and divers, the Gators had their work cut out for them.
However, even with the odds stacked against them, they still managed to finish in the Top 10 over all combined girls and boys teams scores!
Some highlights from the meet were:
Hayden Davis Finishing top 20 in the 200 Freestyle,
Valerie Villalobos finishing 16th in the 200 Individual Medley and 11th in the 100 Breastroke,
Ashley Reyna finishing top 20 in the 50 Freestyle,
Caleb Espada finishing top 20 in the 50 Freestyle and 9th in the 100 Butterfly.
And last, but certainly not least, Billie Jones finishing 4th in the womens 1M diving!
