9/29 FRESHMAN VOLLEYBALL VS SPRING WOODS

A great end to round 1 of district for our Freshman Gators as they took care of business against the Spring Woods Tigers, earning a 2-set victory, 25-10 and 25-10!

The Gators came out strong behind the service line and never let up. Sydney McClain set the tone in the first set with an 8-point service run, including 4 aces right out of the gate! In the second set, Abigail Dietz answered with a 10-point service run of her own, recording 6 aces and keeping the pressure on Spring Woods. Our serving game was strong all night, while quick and efficient side-outs helped the Gators maintain control.

Maggie Calvert and Abigail Dietz made smart decisions running the offense, combining for 10 assists and consistently putting our hitters in position to succeed. The Gators finished with 10 team kills, including a great performance from Paige McCullough in the middle, who posted a .400 hitting percentage!

Defensively, our Gators were relentless, finishing with 17 successful digs and refusing to let the ball hit the floor. Their effort, communication, and ability to keep rallies alive helped set the tone throughout the match.

With the win, our Freshman Gators finish the first round of district play 5-1! This group continues to get better every time they step on the court, and we are excited to see what comes next.
