10/2 JV VB VS KPARK

Our Gators traveled to Kingwood Park to open the second round of district play and battled through a hard-fought three-set match, ultimately coming up short, 25-16, 23-25, and 23-25.

The Gators showed plenty of fire and energy throughout the match, continuing to compete even when the Panthers put pressure on them. Defensively, our Gators showed true grit, keeping rallies alive and refusing to let the ball drop. The team finished with an impressive 67 digs, led by Mia Mitchell with 18 and Yari Flores with 16!

Our team also worked hard through out-of-system opportunities, finding ways to keep the offense moving when plays didn't go exactly as planned. Mia Mitchell stepped up with 7 assists, while Brinlee McLain continued to run the offense and finished with 20 assists. Offensively, the Gators battled for 29 total kills, with Jacey Sarmiento leading the way with an impressive 14 kills!

Although we didn't get the result we wanted, the fire, energy, and fight this team showed throughout the match are something to be proud of. With every game, our Gators are learning, growing, and becoming a more competitive team. The fight is there, and we are continuing to build!

Next up, our JV Gators return to The Swamp on Tuesday to take on the Splendora Wildcats!
