Gators move to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in district play
The West Fork Gators traveled to Huntsville on Friday night, falling to the Hornets 41-7 in their third district matchup of the season.
Huntsville took control early, building a 13-0 lead after the first quarter before extending its advantage to 27-0 at halftime. The Hornets added another touchdown in the third quarter to take a 34-0 lead into the fourth.
West Fork got on the scoreboard in the final quarter when Kaden Ferguson scored on a 2-yard touchdown run, followed by a successful extra point from Trevor Wilson. Huntsville added one more touchdown to bring the final score to 41-7.
Defensively, Jayden Whitelow led the Gators with nine tackles, including six solo stops. Orion Redus followed with eight tackles, while Gary Pearce and Jayden Salas each recorded six. Salas also registered a sack.
Kelton Charles contributed six tackles, two sacks and two quarterback pressures. Javen Nededog recorded four tackles and blocked an extra-point attempt in the first quarter, while De’Juan Kizzie added three tackles.
The Gators now sit at 4-2 overall and 2-1 in district play as they prepare for the remainder of their district schedule.

West Fork returns home to Randall Reed Stadium on Friday, October 16, at 7 p.m. to take on the Splendora Wildcats (4-2, 1-2 district).
The Gators will look to bounce back and improve their position in the district standings.
