10/13 FRESHMAN VB VS NORTHBROOK

Freshman Gators Shine on Pink Out Night! ??????

Our Freshman Gators brought the energy to The Swamp for Pink Out night, earning a hard-fought 2-1 victory over the Northbrook Raiders, 25-12, 24-26, and 25-15!

The Gators came out hungry for the win, setting the tone early with aggressive serving and strong execution to take the first set, 25-12. Leah Romo closed out the set in a big way, putting together an incredible 11-point service run that included 5 aces! Northbrook responded in the second set, pushing our Gators to the limit in a back-and-forth battle that ended 24-26.

In the third set, our Gators showed their growth and determination, bouncing back with aggressive serves and solid defense to take control and seal the 25-15 victory! Behind the service line, the Gators finished with an impressive 23 total aces, led by Leah Romo and Maggie Calvert with 5 each, followed by Abigail Dietz with 4. Offensively, the team recorded 15 total kills, with Maggie leading the way with 6 kills!

Defensively, our Gators finished with 24 digs, continuing to fight for every ball and create opportunities to keep the offense moving. What stood out most was the team's mental growth and ability to respond after a tough second set. Instead of letting the momentum slip away, the Gators regrouped, trusted each other, and came back ready to compete!

This group continues to learn, grow, and find ways to fight through adversity. We are proud of the progress they are making and excited to keep building on this momentum!

Next up, our Freshman Gators travel to take on the Porter Spartans this Friday!
