GATORS FALL SHORT IN BATTLE AGAINST CLEAR LAKE

The West Fork Gators JV football team faced a tough challenge against the Clear Lake Falcons on September 10, falling 42–16 in a hard-fought matchup. The Gators battled throughout the game but struggled to find offensive consistency, with several turnovers making it difficult to sustain drives and keep pace with the Falcons.

West Fork’s first score came on the ground, as quarterback Bryce Nichols powered his way into the end zone for a touchdown. Nichols later connected with Alonzo Williams on a touchdown pass late in the game, providing another offensive highlight for the Gators. Despite the challenges, the Gators continued to compete and showed flashes of their potential on both sides of the ball.

Defensively, the Gators had a strong performance against the Clear Lake rushing attack, with Emmanuel Duran leading the charge and helping limit the Falcons’ success on the ground. Yahir Zamora also came up with an important interception for the Gator defense. Clear Lake, however, found success through the air, throwing several touchdown passes that proved to be a major difference in the game.

The Gators will have a bye this week before returning to action on September 23 at 5:00 p.m. West Fork will host Kingwood Park at Gator Field as the team looks to regroup, prepare, and get back into the win column.
