The West Fork High School Boys Basketball team recently had the opportunity to spend time with the students at Bens Branch Elementary, connecting with the next generation of Future Gators through reading, learning, and mentorship.

Over the past few weeks, these young men visited with Pre-K, kindergarten, and first-grade students, sharing their time and making a positive impact beyond the basketball court. The players read alongside the younger students, helped them learn, and enjoyed the opportunity to build relationships with the future members of the West Fork Gator family.

Experiences like these provide valuable opportunities for student-athletes to develop leadership, practice patience, and understand the importance of serving others. While the elementary students benefited from spending time with positive role models, the basketball players also had the chance to learn from the enthusiasm, curiosity, and excitement of the younger children.

The West Fork Boys Basketball program believes that being a Gator means more than competing on the court. It means representing the school with pride, demonstrating good character, and giving back to the community that supports the program.

The team is grateful for the opportunity to work with the students and staff at Bens Branch Elementary. These visits reflect the strong connection between West Fork High School and its feeder schools and help build a sense of pride and community among Future Gators of all ages.
